Group Guitar Builds
The Cigar Box Guitar Store comes to your location. Every participant builds their own cigar box guitar to take home. Then the group gets a lesson. Building a cigar box guitar is a great activity for church groups, clubs, corporate team building, Scout groups, birthday parties and more.
- The class lasts 2-3 hours.
- The Cigar Box Guitar Store provides CBG kits for each participant, the tools needed and the instructor. (Cigar boxes will vary from example photo.)
- You supply the location and tables for your participants to work on.
- Cost: $185 per person, 5 person minimum (Discounts for larger groups.)
- Anywhere in Madison County, Alabama (We will travel anywhere in the world for a surcharge.)

About Us...
The Cigar Box Guitar Store is the place to buy a three or four-string cigar box guitar, a cigar box bass as well as amplifiers and tambourines made from cigar boxes. With over 40 cigar box guitars in stock, shoppers have a wide choice of both designs as well as sounds to suit their personal tastes. Jeff Mello, is the juried artist at the store, building guitars under his brand Mad Sci Innovations featuring one-of-a-kind designs making them playable art. 15 year-old Roc Carey, is his apprentice, building traditional CBGs under his Sipsey Sounds brand. Jeff and his wife Tara are also the owners of The Cigar Box Guitar Store, which organizes the annual Cigar Box Guitar Festival, the longest-running CBG music festival in the U.S.
